Often dismissed as a pesky weed, the humble thistle has long been a symbol of resilience and beauty, inspiring poets—especially north of the Scottish border. With their striking form and rich symbolism, it’s no wonder Tracey saw their artistic potential when designing her Thistle Stamps.
In this tutorial, she pairs the Silhouette Thistle and Thistle Branch stamps to create a stunning floral composition, enhanced with a delicate sprinkling of Crystal Gold Mica Powder for a subtle shimmer.
The background comes to life with vibrant blue and green hues, created by spraying a blend of Mica-infused and Acrylic Sprays directly onto the card, then spritzing with water to achieve a beautifully soft, diffused effect.
For the finishing touches, Tracey adds extra colour and detail using a selection of Posca Pens, bringing depth and dimension to this elegant design.
