In this magical tutorial, Tracey continues to explore the creative versatility of Dinkles powdered inks—this time using them as delicate watercolours alongside Elements ink to produce a beautifully dappled woodland background with the help of the Gel Press.
Starting with a layer of Elements ink applied using a Brayer Soft Rubber Roller, she then splatters diluted Dinkles across the DL-sized Gel Press using a fan brush. While still wet, the press is transferred onto watercolour card, revealing a soft, textured backdrop full of movement and colour.
This dreamy setting is the perfect stage for the Woodland Sprite fairy, stamped in silhouette against a glowing full moon, created using the Lavinia Acrylic Circle Masks. Tracey then adds depth and atmosphere with a selection of mini foliage stamps to ground the scene in an enchanting forest floor.
As always, a sprinkle of Stickles glitter and a touch of white Posca Pen splatter bring the entire design to life with sparkle and light.
