Step by Step by Mona HaugeÂ
Hi everyoneÂ
Here is my Step-by-Step tutorial called Welcome To My Humble Abode.Â
Hope you like it.
Â
Step 1
Using some A5 white Multifarious card stamp the gorgeous Druid’s Inn LAV572 in Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves on the right-hand side of the card. After stamping the Druid’s Inn one time, turn the stamp upside down to stamp to make the Druid’s Inn a little bit taller. Make sure to mask the top of your card to ensure you don’t stamp the roots. I used a piece of paper. See the photograph for placement. Now we want to stamp the beautiful Althea LAV617 in Versafine Clair Twilight. Cover everything with Liquid Masking Fluid.Â
Step 2
Now stamp part of the Druids Inn in Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves in the corners, like you see in the Photograph. Our little friend Pipin mini LAV589 will sit in Althea’s right hand and she will hold the Mini Lamp LAV655 in her other hand both stamped in Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves. Cover with Liquid Masking Fluid.
Step 3
Next use Elements inks Olive, Mermaid and Bermuda for the ocean colour. Use a ripped piece of paper to create some ridges. Now apply a hint of PanPastel Hansa Yellow to create a sense of light.
Step 4
The beautiful Fairy Bonnet LAV612 looks fabulous as an under-water flower, stamp in Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Â Do both first- and second-generation stamping. We also need a Shoal of Fish LAV432 stamped in Versafine Clair Twilight.
Step 5
We need more fish and we want some magical Sea Bubbles LAV439 stamped in Versafine Clair Twilight second-generation stamping. A few more flowers are needed, so let’s stamp some Flora Set LAV698 in Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Stamp both first- and second-generation stamping.
Step 6
Now we want to rub away all the Liquid Masking Fluid but before we do that, we want to make sure that our paper is 100% dry or else the paper might rip. Use a heat gun to dry it.
Step 7
To get light in the small lantern we will use our PanPastel Hansa Yellow. Now using the wonderful Mondeluz Watercolour pencils colour the beautiful Althea, using a dark blue colour like the colour we stamped in. Add some mid green and a light yellow. We will use the same colours to colour the flowers. To create the foliage of the tree we will stamp the Berry Leaves LAV577 in Versafine Clair Shady Lane and Twilight.
Step 8
Now let’s colour the trees and stones. Dark brown, brown, reddish brown and ochre pencils for the trees and black, dark grey and light grey for the stones. After we have coloured it all we will use a moss green to add some feeling of moss on both the trees and on the stones.
Step 9
A little yellow colour in the windows of our Druid’s Inn gives it a feeling of warmth inside. A few more flowers are needed so stamp some Silhouette Foliage LAV683 in Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Colour them with a Sky Blue Posca Pen. Everything needs highlights. We will use both a white Mondeluz Aquarelle pencil and a white Uniball pen. Look at the photograph for placement.
Step 10
To get some light beams through the water we will use a Gioconda white pastel pencil and some Titanium White PanPastel.
Step 11
Now for the final touch we will do some white Posca Pen splatter. We are now finished and I hope you have enjoyed following my step-by-step tutorial. If you have any questions, please send me a message and I will answer as soon as I can. Big hugs from Mona
