The Steps in creating Shanty in Springtime
(click on the first image to view as a slideshow)
- I stamped the shanty and path on to a blank background.
- Using the turquoise and flat brush use a very light shade to paint the background working around the shanty, (add more water to the ink). Then using a slightly darker shade add the illusion of distant trees.
- Now add the distant bushes and shrubs using a bright green, bring the same colour to the sides of the path.
- Add darker shades to distance the bushes further I am using a mix of blue and green to darken.
- Now using the bright green again paint the roof of the shanty. You can use yellow then add some blue to get the shade you want. Bring the green down to cover the hanging moss. Stamp the red pine in the background I used warm breeze, double and treble stamped.
- Colour the shanty I used a mix of brown and beige. Adding some neon yellow to the moss and some dots of pink and lilac acrylic for flowers.
- You can see I have dotted some acrylic in the grass area. The bushes are created using a stencil brush tap in the darker green, add a tap of yellow this make it lighter, then add tap of yellow when dry.
- Finally add your other stamps I have chosen the adorable foxes from set 1 and set 2. You can keep adding colour to darken and lighten your scene.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial keep safe and well
