Description

Follow these instructions to create a magical Lavinia Stamps bauble using the original designs of Tracey Dutton.

Making a bauble with a floating Lavinia Stamps insert.

For this you will need : 1 clear bauble ( available from Lavinia Stamps in 3 sizes), 1 pack of Lavinia Stamps bauble inserts ( available form Lavinia Stamps in 3 sizes)

1. Hold your chosen bauble in your palm and remove the metal ornamental lid by pulling upwards gently. It is best to pull from the solid section of the lid and not via the hanging loop at the top.
2. Once the lid is removed and placed to one side, choose your insert design from the acetate sheet.
3. If you would like to add any colour or glitter – now is the time to do it. Colour can be added with Alcohol inks or lightly ornament with crafting glue and glitter or Stickles and leave to dry.
4. Cut around the outside of the chosen design, taking care to follow the shape of the bauble shape with the tab top.
5. Now that the insert has been cut, with the tab at the top, roll the two outside edges ( left and right) towards the centre of the insert.
6. Next pop the rolled up insert through the top of the open bauble, making sure that the tab is at the top of the bauble.
7. Once inside the insert will unfurl and display the chosen design.
8. Add extra textures to your bauble with reindeer moss, artificial snow, leaves, feather, tinsel and more. You can even add lights!
9. Once you are happy with your design pop the metal bauble top back onto the bauble. This can be done by squeezing the two wire prongs into the neck of the bauble and pushing gently down until it is in position.
10. To hang add some ribbon, string, lace or even acrylic thread and stand back and enjoy the magic!
