Hi, my name is Karen and I live in Greater Manchester where I also work full-time as a Biomedical Scientist Specialist for NHS Blood and Transplant.
I may be a scientist by day, but I’ve always enjoyed creative activities in my spare time and until recently my main passion has been cross-stitch.
My interest in cardmaking began a couple of years ago when I bought myself a ‘craft cupboard’ and since then my mission has been to fill it with lots of lovely crafty goodies. I started with a die-cutting machine and began making my own Christmas and Birthday cards for friends and family, joining various Facebook groups for ideas and inspiration.
It was in one of these groups where I first saw a card made using Lavinia stamps and I can honestly say it was love at first sight. I bought my first stamps just over 12 months ago and haven’t looked back since. I have quite a collection now and it’s still growing!
I’ve always loved learning and am a great believer in it never being too late to learn something new. My hobbies are very eclectic – I learnt to ride a motorcycle at 35, to play the clarinet at 40 and now I’m enjoying learning how to embrace my more artistic side. I love everything about the whole process of cardmaking from the design through to the stamping, the colouring, and the embellishing and I use lots of different mediums, my favourites being ink sprays and pastels.
Through my love of Lavinia Stamps not only have I found so much wonderful advice and inspiration, but I’ve found friendship too. I know that I am at the very beginning of what will be a long and happy crafting journey, and whilst I don’t yet know what my next learning challenge is going to be, I have a long list of ideas!
I feel truly honoured and excited to be asked to join the Lavinia Guest Design Team this month, and I hope you enjoy seeing my work using these beautiful stamps. If it inspires you to have a go yourself then I would say absolutely do it, but most importantly – have fun!
Say Hello to the Lavinia Stamps Design Team
Hi, I’m Karen and I have been creatively crafting ever since I can remember. I first started selling some of my crafty pieces when I was 15 and I have taught crafts to adults and children for many years. Now I teach monthly workshops in Guildford, Surrey, where we have a great time making cards, tags, and journal pages using paints, inks, stamps, stencils and more.
I have lived and worked on three continents and I have an impressive stash of supplies carefully ‘collected’ over the past 25 years.
I have three gorgeous grown-up children who have encouraged my crafty endeavours over the years.
I work as a Life Coach and Meditation teacher helping people manage stress and conflict effectively. Crafting fits into the category of also helping people de-stress.
I look forward to inspiring you with my crafty creations using the gorgeous Lavinia stamps.
I live with my partner and two dogs near the beautiful Mourne mountains in Northern Ireland.
I have always had a passion for art and being creative. I’m currently a mixed media artist having had a background in painting but have been an avid crafter and sewist for many years.
I adore colour and texture and love nothing more than imagining and creating inky scenes using my precious Lavinia stamps and crafty stash
Hello! My name is Anne Frazer, but my friends call me Annie. I am so excited to be part of this Design Team and share my love for stamping, colouring, painting and trying new techniques.
Stamping has been my hobby for over 20 years now. I work in several media, including inks, alcohol inks, watercolours, acrylics, Copic Markers and have even done some digital designs.
Card making is my main focus but I have also done some canvas work as well as other mixed media projects. I like to look for interesting ways to use and present stamped images; just doing something different.
I live outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, USA, with my two most adorable Westie girls. I have one son. I retired in 2016 from a career in Software Development after losing my husband to illness in 2014.
Lavinia Stamps are just so great to work with and lend themselves well to so many different media. I was totally blown away when I was chosen to be part of this team. I sure hope what I do will spark your creativity.
Hi there, I have loved to craft for as long as I can remember.
I took crafty O-levels, Needlework and Pottery, and after leaving school I trained as a florist, going on to manage several shops.
These days I work with young children and enjoy sharing my love of crafts and getting messy with them. Who knows, they could be “Lavinia lovers” of the future.
I still love to sew and have made cards for many years, I don’t think I have a particular style, I just like clean designs. I like to stamp and love working with Lavinia Stamps. I consider myself very lucky to continue to be part of the talented Lavinia team!
Hi. I’m Rosemary. I live in London with my husband, son and daughter. I am really looking forward to being a member of the Lavina Stamps design team.
I have been paper crafting for just over 10 years. Before this I was a tutor in cake making and decorating, I still occasionally make cakes for friends and family.
I work full time in a Primary School, so I love to craft in the evenings and weekends once all the house chores have been done.
I enjoy a wide variety of paper crafting and enjoy trying a wide variety of different techniques. I love attending a Monthly workshop where I have learnt a huge amount from a very talented lady and met lots of wonderful kind crafty ladies and gentlemen.
Like many other crafters, I am enthusiastic about using Lavinia stamps as they are very versatile and easy to use.
Hi, I’m Sarah, a special needs teacher by day and a messer-abouter with inks, paper and stamps in the in-between times! I live with my very understanding husband, south of Manchester, and look forward to the times that our newly fledged sons and daughter come home for the weekend.
I have been stamping for 30 years, which is a scary number to write! I find playing with inks and stamps etc very relaxing and am passionate about grown-ups finding time to play – it is so good for your mental health! Especially when you play with the stunningly beautiful stamps that Tracey designs. Fairies are such magical creatures, aren’t they?
Over the years I am honoured to have had my work published in a variety of magazines, including Somerset Studio and Art Journaling magazine, and you’ll currently find me writing for Craft Stamper three or four times a year. I’ve also written a number of step by step articles for Lavinia Stamps which you can find right here on the website.
Hi, my name is Amanda.
I live in a beautiful rural part of Leicestershire.
I started crafting in November 2013, but I have been playing with pencils, crayons, and paint since I was little. I really enjoy getting inky, especially with friends and stamping gives me a quick art fix I just adore.
My other passion is photography. Each hobby helps and inspires the other!
Hi, I am Eleana.
I found Lavinia Stamps, only a year ago when I got hooked onto stamping and inking. I love creating my own things like cards, gift bags, frames, 3D projects, etc and selling them through my local craft shop. Where I volunteer to teach about inks and stamps to beginners. Learning them about, inking & blending techniques, understanding inks, etc. I also attend their craft group on a weekly basis. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be on the Lavinia Stamps Design Team and to see what this year brings.
I have been a crafter for many years, doing things like needlework & Kumihimo. Then I started to make Christmas cards with my daughter when she was in college. And that was how I got into card-making. I tried a lot of different styles from card kits to using cutting dies. But never seemed satisfied, before I tried stamping.
I live in Lancashire with my grown-up daughter and son. We have a dog called Connie, who we adopted when she was only 12 weeks and now is 4 years old, very happy and loved. She is the third dog that I have adopted.
I’m Tom, I live with my partner Aidrian, and our two cats, Phoebe and Izzi, in Manchester, but I’m originally from Scotland.
I woke up one morning in October 2017, and thought, I wonder if I’d be any good at making cards. Started off with a die cutting machine, then found stamping, and haven’t looked back.
I have learned so much over the last year and a bit, and am having a ball learning lots of different techniques.
I’m fairly new to Lavinia Stamps but absolutely adore them. They are so versatile, and the detail is amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better set of tools to create beautiful artwork, be that cards, candles or textiles.
My full-time job is in a customer service office for a local transport company, but I\’m also a trained hairdresser and qualified in various massage techniques.
I also love to sing, and can sometimes be found on the karaoke belting out a few tunes. Some of which are on my YouTube channel, as Aidrian got me a day in a recording studio a few years back.
I am so excited to be part of the Lavinia stamps design team, and I hope to be bringing lots of creative inspiration, to help inspire you all to follow your crafty dreams.
Hi I am Jo,
I have always loved being creative and have dabbled in many crafts. After being medically retired as a Therapeutic Radiographer a number of years ago I found card making, and have never looked back. I love all types of papercraft but my main passion is inky play and stamping. I first met Tracey and discovered Lavinia stamps at a local show and totally fell in love with the hand-drawn detail and exquisite designs that she offers.
I am very lucky to be able to run workshops, and love to share ideas with fellow Crafters. (Plus we always have cake !!! )
My best friend and husband Karl is very supportive, we have two grown-up sons, two grandsons and a black Labrador.
I am very proud and excited to be a part of this fabulous team…
I get my love of crafting from my Mum, who was always making things. She taught me to knit when I was seven and then how to sew at eleven. I started by making clothes, then toys and then moved on to soft furnishings. Over the years I have dabbled in all sorts of crafts, I just love fiddling about and creating something from nothing. I have always loved the mythical world of wizards, fairies and unicorns, so to discover Tracey’s designs was just perfect for me.
I first met Tracey at a craft show about 12 years ago and I fell in love with her exquisite designs. I watched her create a card using nothing more than some inks, a brayer, some torn paper, the fabulous Moon Fairy stamp, which was my first purchase along with some glitter. I was mesmerised and when she turned it round to show us, I just gasped. That began my journey into becoming a paper crafter. I was rubbish at it at first but over time I like to think that I have got a little better at it. The main thing is I love being in my craft room, it relaxes me and I lose many hours in there, even if what I produce isn’t exactly what I wanted or is as good as I was hoping for. I’ve had a lovely time spending the time being creative and I think that is the important bit. I am always on the lookout for things I can give the Lavinia treatment to and I am lucky enough to be able to run and teach workshops.
I live in Southport on the North West coast with my very patient husband and our four cats not to mention the two that come to visit! I have one daughter who shares my love of crafting and one Granddaughter who I can not wait to start teaching all about the magical world of crafting. I love being on the Lavinia Stamps Design Team and hope my creations inspire you.
“I retired from a career in Retail Pharmacy in 2008. I was the manager of a large store in Kent with forty staff and lots of pressure.
l found Crafting with Inks, Stencils and Stamps was a super “stress buster” and fortunately discovered Lavinia Stamps around the same time that l left my Job.
I’ve loved Tracey Dutton’s fabulous designs ever since.
I’m a freelance Craft Tutor travelling around the UK but at the moment I’m hosting On-line Workshop Classes.”
