I Love Shoe, a Picture tutorial by Karen Campbell

Hi Lavinians 🧚‍♀️ Hope you enjoy today’s tutorial named “I Love Shoe”

Let’s get stuck in!

1. Cut a piece of hot press watercolour paper to 6″ x 8″. It will be trimmed later. Spritz with water. Spray with Lavinia Acrylic Spray in Sun Yellow, Chartreuse and Teal, concentrating lighter colour in centre of the paper.

2. Spritz with more water to help colour spread and dry with a heat tool.

3. Stamp Pixie Boot(large) in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

4.With Versafine Clair Nocturne, stamp mouse with outstretched arms from Minni and Moo set so that he stands on the foot of the boot.

5. Stamp the mini button stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink  so that the mouse’s right hand touches it.

6. Stamp Pixie Boot onto masking paper or a scrap of paper to mask off top of boot. See the picture for placement. Stamp mouse from Tilly and Tango so it partially peeks out from top of boot. Remove the masking.

7. With a very fine black pen, like Pigma Micron 0.05 Black, draw a thread from the mouses hand to the buttons and a dangling piece off the back of the boot.

8. With a torn piece of paper mask off bottom of shoe. With Elements Ink Blue Lagoon and stencil brush flick ink onto ground below boot to ground it.

9. Colour boot with an assortment of Zig clean brush pens. I used orange, yellow, green, teal. Also, white and coral pink Posca pen.

10. Trim piece to 4″×6″. Add pearl buttons with Liquid Pearl’s white Opal. (note: make sure it’s dry before moving on) I smudged mine and had to start over. Use Elements Ink Lime Punch and Blue Lagoon to shade around picture.

11. Finishing touches. I cut a 1/16″ mat using the We R mat layer guide sold at Lavinia and added sparkle with Lavinia Holographic glitter.  I hope you’ll give this a try.

The finished creation. These sprays are magical, and you will never get two backgrounds that look the same… isn’t that just marvelous!

I have included another colour version of this make to show what amazing combinations and styles can be done with these sprays.
