Step by Step by Mona Hauge
Hello everyone, Mona here with my new Step By Step Tutorial called Flower Book tags.
Hope you like it.🧚♀️
Step 1.
Using two Watercolour Card Tags and a series 7 Stencil Brush colour around the top of one tag with the beautiful new Elements Ink Lemon Drop and on the other blend some of new Elements Ink Flying Fig. Look at the picture for placement of colour.
Step 2 .
Choose books from the Cures and Curses LAV962, Fairy Handbook LAV964 and the Book of Lost Words LAV958 and stamp them in Versafine Clair Pinecone like you see in the picture. Cover the top half of the books on both tags with Liquid Masking fluid.
Step 3.
Stamp the Purple Cap Mushrooms LAV974, Moss Caps Stamps LAV882 and Tall Dandelion LAV747 In Versafine Clair Morning Mist. Now we stamp the Open Dandelion LAV745 in Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Cover everything with Liquid Masking Fluid.
Step 4.
Stamp the Leaf Spray LAV741 and the Wild Summer Flower LAV749 in Versafine Clair Shady Lane.
Step 5.
On our Flying Fig tag, we will use a bit of Elements Ink Truffle to darken the edges and on our Lemon Drop tag we will use some Elements Ink Soft Cygnet to darken the edges. To create the table for our books we will use our Mondeluz Aquarelle Pencils. Use a dark brown and a dark grey colour and then blend with a water reservoir brush.
Step 6.
A little bit of PanPastel magic is always fun Use a Hansa Yellow and the Orange like you see in the picture.
Step 7.
Now we remove the masking, just be sure that the card is completely dry all the way through before removal. When colouring the books always use more than on colour on each book. I use a base colour and then I use a darker colour around the edges and on the details of the book, and then one colour that is a shade lighter to give it some highlight. Also colour the Moss Caps, I use a terracotta colour and some Ochre.
Step 8.
The Dandelions needs a bright yellow and the Purple Cap Mushrooms needs a purple of course and a little pink. Give the Cap of the Mushrooms a little shade with a dark brown. The Tall Dandelion has very little to colour but I use a beige and a grey to make the centre a little more visible.
Step 9.
For the Wild Summer Flower I use my White Uniball pen and also the Tall Dandelion gets some White dots. The Leaf Spray get some dots of Yellow Posca Pen. Now we use our White Mondeluz Aquarelle pencil to do some highlights on the books and the Mushrooms.
Step 10.
For our final touches we use our White Uniball Pen to do highlights and Mushroom dots before we splatter with White and Yellow Posca Pens.
And now we have our result.
I hope you have enjoyed following my Tutorial. If you have any questions, just send me a message and I will answer as soon as I can. Big hugs from Mona.
