Is there anybody there? …Well…is there?

On the 18th May 2023 at around 14.00 hours Tracey, Kevin and I had a meeting at Plas Coch. Not an ordinary meeting. It was a meeting with people who, unbeknownst to them, had spent many an evening in our sitting rooms. On television. So meeting them, we were nervous and excited. We really shouldn’t have been nervous. They felt like old friends.

After a few firm handshakes the Most Haunted team settled into the room designated as the Control Centre in Plas Coch. It all felt very normal…just with added camera equipment and microphones!

The investigating team explained that they would be exploring the property alone, and would let us know when they were leaving.  Tracey and Kevin left first.

I was the designated spokesperson, and with the help of Yvette Fielding ( I know, right?!….YVETTE FIELDING!) and Gregg the cameraman, somehow I bumbled my way through talking about the paranormal experiences in the property. Not sure it was my finest hour, but WOW! What an experience!

So what paranormal experiences I hear you ask? Well…we decided to ask Most Haunted to investigate at first, based on the fact that this was an old property, and had seen many people through its doors. After all the property has been many things; a family home, then divided into two properties, a lodging house, a restaurant and a Conservative Club and possibly more..! Surely there must be something …right?

That was before things started to happen. Unexplainable things. Where no logic could explain them.

Our company is called Lavinia Stamps, so named after the owner and Designer Tracey Lavinia Dutton. (You might remember I mentioned this tale before.) Strange then that suddenly, on the darts board, the words very clearly written in a beautiful script appeared; “Hello Lavinia”. Intrigued, Tracey checked the handwriting of all the staff to check that it wasn’t them!

Nobody owned up.

Then there was the running water. At first it was all ok. The water was turned off and before turning it back on Kevin made sure that definitely all the taps were turned off.  So imagine our surprise when the water was turned on again…and some of the taps were running! That happened twice. Then on the day of filming Karl told us that on the top floor the shower was on and the sink in the bathroom was half full with water from running taps! Kevin was quite clear that the taps and the shower had not been on the day before.

Curiouser and curiouser!

Don’t get me wrong. Plas Coch doesn’t feel malicious at all. But there were parts of the property that were a little unnerving and certainly made people have “feelings”. Like the cupboard that made one visitor feel sick, the attic room reduced someone to tears and the freaky cupboard that nobody really wants to go in…and nobody can say why! Ooh…and not to mention the dancing light that appeared on the video that had been made as a quick tour of the property. ( Since found out that this was coming from the mobile phone!)

So at the moment Plas Coch and all its valuable history is left in the capable hands of the Most Haunted Crew and its 16.20. I can’t lie. I would love to be a fly on the wall watching what’s going on! We look forward to seeing what they discovered and if it appears in an episode on their YouTube Channel.

As soon as we know any more we’ll let you know too-oo-ooooooo!
