The bright sunny weather we’ve been experiencing recently inspired design team member Karen Telfer to create this lovely card with a bright sunny theme. For her background, she chose three shades of Distress oxide with the main point of focus being provided by the Lavinia Stamps Fairy Thistles.
Our final if three turorials, this week, using Brusho powdered inks to create magical backgrounds with a Gel Press. The magnificent Fairy Toadstool, surrounded by foliage created with a selection of our mini pound stamps, make a wonderful elevated playground for our tiny wild hares.

Today, design team member Jo Rice pictures the owl, Maylin, in flight above the rooftops, viewed through a foreground of foliage built up using our Tree Brand and Mini Leaf stamps. Finally, she creates a lovely evening watercolour sky using diluted Elements Inks.
For today’s tutorial, Tracey demonstrates the use of the Frisk Masking Fluid Fineliner to create the effect of background grasses by masking off areas of the Multifarious card before saturating with water and sprinkling with Brusho powdered ink.
“Star Burst” seed head stamps, and a selection of mini foliage stamps, complete the picture.
