The Steps in creating the Alcohol Ink Baubles

- Take your bauble and remove the top. Place it on top of an old cup and squeeze some white acrylic paint inside
- Rotate the bauble, tapping it on your work surface to move the paint around the inside. Keep going until the inside is completely coated. Add more paint if necessary.
- Place the bauble upside down on your cup and leave for 24 -48 hours. This is to allow any excess paint to drip out.
- Here is mine after 48 hours. The acrylic paint won’t be dry at this point.
- Dab some ink on your bauble and add some drips of blending solution. I used a hand pump blower to move the ink around.

- Use a blending tool with some felt attached to add more colour and dab this on the bauble
- Keep adding colour and blending solution until you are happy with the coverage. I flicked some blending solution on at the end to get the white spots to add interest.
Tips:
Avoid using any form of heat to dry the inks faster, this will melt the bauble (I learned the hard way).
I haven’t varnished these for 2 reasons. It’s only decorative and a spray varnish will reactive the inks.
