Hi everybody. It’s Rosemary  here. I hope you enjoy today’s tutorial, called “I’m off for a swim!” Let’s get started.

Picture 1 – Use some Lavinia Watercolour Card and cut to  61/2” x 7 1/2” size.  Using the taller jar shape from Sticker Stencil 8, place the outer piece of the sticker stencil over the card.

Picture 2 – Using Elements Ink  Blue Lagoon and Pine, lightly brush over the aperture or opening from side to side. Use a Lavinia Stencil brush series 9, until you’re happy with colour.

Picture 3 – Place the Flourish stencil over the top of your blue jar. Hold in place on one side with low tack tape, you can then lift the stencil to check if you have added enough ink. Gently brush over the stencil with Elements Ink  Blue Lagoon and Pine until you’re happy with the colour.

Picture 4 – When happy with colour, remove the Flourish stencil. This will give you a lovely subtle pattern.

Picture 5 – Stamp Sebastian in Versafine Clair Acorn ink. Once dry, using Elements Ink  Truffle, smudge a small amount onto your craft mat and use as a watercolour to colour Sebastian’s body.

Picture 6 – Make a mask of Sebastian’s body by stamping it on copier paper and cutting out. Place over the main part of the body, so that when you stamp the marine plants, they will appear behind him.

Picture 7 – Stamp your Marine plants as required. I used;  Sea flower (LAV627) stamped in Versafine Clair Monarch, Spanish moss (LAV505) stamped with Versafine Clair  Shady Lane,  Marine Kelp (LAV625) stamped with Versafine Clair Warm Breeze and  Bubbles stamp (LAV 351), stamped with Second generation Versafine Clair Morning Mist.

Picture 8 –  For the finishing touches I removed the Sticker Stencil from the design and  then stamped the Large cork stamp ( LAV906) with Versafine Clair ink Portobello. Next I highlighted the edge of the cork with Stardust Stickles. Then I went round edge of jar with white pencil to give it some depth. Highlighted the marine plants, bubbles and Sabastian with Gelly roll pens in clear, purple and blue.

Hope you like and enjoy creating with the new Sticker Stencils, they are great to work with! Happy crafting Rosemary Rogers.
