A Bokeh of colour by Lainey Jones

Step by Step by Lainey Jones

Hi Lavinians 🧚‍♀️ Hope you enjoy today’s tutorial named “Bokeh of colour”

Picture 1

You will need the following : Multifarious card cut to 5 x 5inch square, Elements inks different colours of your choice, Versafine Clair Nocturne for stamping, cotton wool/cotton bud for the Titanium White Pan Pastel application, White Orbs stencil and stamps Lumus (large) and Bumble words. Dark ink to edge your card which is optional (I’ve used Versafine Clair Twilight). All are available from the Lavinia website.

Picture 2

Start by brushing your colours onto your card randomly as in the picture. Don’t worry about the blending just fill your card with colour!

Picture  3

Let it dry (or dry with heat tool) then stamp your Lumus fairy in the centre using Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Picture  4

Using the pan pastel,  White Orbs stencil and cotton wool/cotton bud,  start applying your bokeh circles using the titanium white Pan Pastel as shown. Be mindful not to go over the stamp by using the smaller circles when applying near the stamp. You could stamp after adding the circles but it may make your fairy look dusty in appearance, that’s why I stamp first.

Picture  5

Use different sized circles for a better effect.

Picture 6

Continue to add your circles around your fairy until it looks similar to this. See how your fairy pops!

Picture  7

Use Gelly Roll Moonlight pens to colour in the wings and brush Versafine Clair Twilight around the edges.

Picture  8

Stamp your sentiment in the corner and draw a rectangle around it using a pen.

That’s it! Hope you enjoyed my pictorial.  Don’t forget to post!
