Say “Hello” to our Design Team

Eileen Godwin

Hello, I started crafting in 2004, trying all sorts of paper crafting techniques. I found that inks and stamping were ‘my thing’.

I retired from a full time career in Retail Pharmacy in 2008 and now I enjoy crafting more or less all day, every day.

I’m married to Ken and we share our home with two small dogs, sisters, Daisy and Holly who we adore …. and two Ferrets! I teach at some local craft workshops that I organise and run in North Kent. I also enjoy wild life / bird watching and reading.

Pauline Butcher

Since my school days, I’ve had a love for art, drawing, painting and creating, but even before that, I used to sew and play with modelling clay and be creative.

When I became a Mum, this love of of creating developed into making cakes, and creating sugar paste flowers and models for decoration. As my children got older, and I went back to work, I had less time, so I seemed to naturally progress into card making, which I have now been doing for over 20 years now. Stamping, inking, glittering and generally getting messy with other lovely colourful stuff, is now my passion, as well as collecting and creating with Lavinia stamps, of course.

I have 3 grown up Sons, the youngest still being at home. I live in Warwick, with my very patient soul mate, who is a musician, so fortunately he totally understands my crafty addiction !!!!

Karen Telfer

Hi, I’m Karen and I have been creatively crafting ever since I can remember. I first started selling some of my crafty pieces when I was 15 and I have taught craft to adults and children for many years. Now I teach monthly workshops in Guildford, Surrey, where we have a great time making cards, tags and journal pages using paints, inks, stamps, stencils and more.

I have lived and worked on three continents and I have an impressive stash of supplies carefully ‘collected’ over the past 25 years. 😜 I share my home with three gorgeous grown up children.

I work as a Life Coach and Meditation teacher helping people manage stress and conflict effectively. So crafting fits into the category of also helping people de-stress.

I am delighted to be on the Lavinia stamps design team as I love the gorgeous range and was first introduced to them by Eileen when I returned to the UK a few years ago.

Lynne Gilbert

I’ve been crafting ever since I can remember! Having tried all sorts of things, my main passion is mixed media and paper-craft.

I enjoy teaching and demonstrating, and have run a local craft group for over 10 years.

I live in Essex with my husband and youngest son. We also have two older sons and beautiful daughter- in-laws, and six adorable grandchildren.
I’m really excited to be a member of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team.

Melissa Latchem

I started crafting without really knowing what I was doing was called digital crafting, when I was asked to do the programs posters etc. for a local Am Dram society in about 1989.

Then a few years later I met Eileen who showed me that instead of just digital crafting, there was a whole world of other possibilities out there, and I was hooked.

The very first stamps I bought were from Lavinia and I haven’t looked back – I’ll have a go at anything and I am at my happiest covered in ink and sparkle.  I have a very patient husband Nick and two lovely boys/young lads.

In between crafting I also run my own business.  Unfortunately, I have a bad back, and find crafting one of the best pain relief on the market! In fact, it should be on the NHS.

Hi everyone, I am a huge craft addict and love being creative.

Over the years I have designed wedding invitations; created centrepieces and favours for weddings; decorated themed halls for school proms; I even crochet and cross stitch, but paper crafting has to be my favourite pastime. I love being able to shut myself away and play.

I have been card crafting for about 10 years. Like some of the other DT members, I used card kits and digital crafting for my designs. In the past few years, I have really got into using different mediums, inks, paints, alcohol pens, stamps and stencils to make my creations. I love making cards and keepsakes for family and friends.

I live with my wonderful husband, two grown up children and my adorable Labrador. I had hoped that as the children grew up I’d have more time to craft however, My Labrador just sees this as more playtime and walkies for her and with such beautiful eyes, I just can’t say no.

I am over the moon to be on the Lavinia Stamps Design Team and I hope that my designs encourage and inspire others to be creative.

Alison Harvey

Hi I’m Alison and live with my very patient husband and two lovely sons, plus two very spoilt cats in Yorkshire. Everyone is used to me disappearing into my favourite room to craft and knows not to throw packaging or unusual items away, as I’m sure I could do something with that!!

I’ve been crafting for over 20 years and started out cross stitching, moving to papercraft and then inking and stamping. I first saw Lavinia stamps about 8 years ago and was instantly hooked with all the wonderful possibilities. I love nature and walking in our beautiful countryside so Lavinia stamps fit the bill perfectly. I love seeing things that I can adapt and add fairies etc to, and my crafting skills are always changing and improving.

I raise money with my crafts for the hospice, a cause which means and a lot to me, and work part time as a community nurse for the evenings and overnight service.

I am delighted to be included on the Lavinia Stamps design team and look forward to encouraging and supporting others to access the fantastic range of products.

Julie Blakeman

Hi there, I have loved to craft for as long as I can remember.

I took crafty O-levels, Needlework and Pottery, and after leaving school I trained as a florist, going on to manage several shops.

These days I work with young children and enjoy sharing my love of crafts and getting messy with them. Who knows, they could be “Lavinia lovers” of the future.

I still love to sew and have made cards for many years, I don’t think have a particular style, I just like clean designs. I like to stamp and love working with Lavinia Stamps. I consider myself very lucky to continue to be part of the talented Lavinia team!

Zoe Russell

Hi, I’m Zoe, I’m married to Steve and have a daughter who lives in Canada and a gorgeous Shih Tzu called Ernie, who is very lazy! I live in a lovely Dickensian seaside town in Kent.

Having been a hairdresser for over 30 years and owning my own salon for 20 of those, I am now a Foster carer and love it.

My Great Nan taught me to knit at 5 years old and I’ve dabbled with all sorts of craft since then, paper craft is my passion I’ve made cards for the last 15+ years, I love stamping and inky stuff, I love experimenting with different techniques and mediums, I don’t have a particular style, like a lot of crafters it changes frequently and of course it’s where most of my money goes lol!

I feel my crafting skills have improved greatly over the last couple of years and certainly since joining in Facebook groups etc, I’m inspired by many talented crafters, Eileen Godwin, Tracey Dutton, Tim Holtz, Hels Sheridan, Wendy Vecchi, etc etc too many to mention.

I am beyond delighted to be part of the team and work with amazing products and with very talented crafters.

RoseRosemary Rogers

Hi. I’m Rosemary. I live in London with my husband, son and daughter.  I am really looking forward to being a member of the Lavina stamps design team.

I have been paper crafting for just over 10 years. Before this I was a tutor in cake making and decorating, I still occasionally make cakes for friends and family.

I work full time in a Primary School, so I love to craft in the evenings and weekends once all the house chores have been done.

I enjoy a wide variety of paper crafting and enjoy trying a wide variety of different techniques. I love attending a Monthly workshop where I have learnt a huge amount from a very talented lady and met lots of wonderful kind crafty ladies and gentlemen.

Like many other crafters I am enthusiastic about using Lavinia stamps as they are very versatile and easy to use.

Maggs Barrett

Maggs Barrett

Hi All, I’m Maggs,

I’ve been a crafter for approx 5 years, have tried lots of things, but have always remained consistent in my love for Lavinia.

I’m a Mum of four grown up children, three  grandchildren and a crazy Springer Spaniel. I LOVE going on ‘make believe’ adventures with my grandchildren (My Motto: Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional).

I love spending time down our caravan in the summer and out and about with my camera. I love nature and fairies, which is where my love for Lavinia stems from. I feel inspired by nature.

To be asked to join Lavinia DT was truly a dream come true. I’m really excited to be part of the next chapter of Lavinia’s adventures and can’t wait to share with you. xx

AmandaAmanda Branston

Hi, my name is Amanda.

I live in a beautiful rural part of Leicestershire.

I started crafting in November 2013, but I have been playing with pencils, crayons, and paint since I was little. I really enjoy getting inky, especially with friends and stamping gives me a quick art fix I just adore.

My other passion is photography. Each hobby helps and inspires the other!
