Just thought i would try something a little different…. i just distressed layers of ripped paper/card then glued them onto a inked up distressed tag ….added a few embellishments and a ribbon

Not sure if this pic will end up on your gallery, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. It is a picture of my journal pages using a lot of Lavinia Stamps. I drew the main mermaid image and the lobsters, but everything else is your wonderful Lavinia Stamps. I simply brayered Adirondack eggplant to the Lavinia card and added the lovely new Lavinia stamps.

The background is brayered with Adirondack inks & I have used Harietta as my main image (stamped with Versafine) I have coloured her in with Promarkers. To finish there is a generous sprinkling of Glamour Dust.
You can almost feel the sun in the beautiful picture….. lovely x

Hello everyone I think the last time i sent a news letter out to everyone i was commenting on what a mild winter we where having….well it appears i spoke to soon… its been freezing here… Just two weeks ago we had SNOW!!!!….
Still… it can only get better…. i must admit i am looking forward to seeing a bit of sun now. All the Daffs are up…tulips are out….all the baby lambs are bouncing about…it is a great time of the year.
Well we have just got back from Alexander Palace ….what a great show!!! lovely venue…one of my favourites. It was great to see you all there and speak to some of you in person… its always good for us to put a face to the voice or the emails we receive.
Well we had a very successful day on launching our NEW Face Book page at Ally Pally….. something i never thought i would understand and get into… but thanks to you guys popping over to the F.B page to say hello you have inspired me that this is such a great way to communicate, you have all given me the confidence to move forward with the times…. 
What a great way to share all your Knowledge , experiences and art work…you are all truly talented people. So please if you haven’t already come to say hello …please do . This month i am working on card toppers using our lovely designs….which introduces another way of making cards without the Stamping or the Brayering!!!…. its all about building layers to create something totally different but unique. Some people have a real flare for using card toppers, its always good to experience new fresh ideas… its important to me to reach customers that like to craft in different ways, so the card Toppers will open the door to a new avenue…. exciting stuff…!!

Well Spring is just around the corner ….finally !! although we can’t complain can we?…we have had an incredibly mild winter.Although i have missed having a little snow this year.
Well lets hope the economy has picked up this year and things start moving in the right direction, there has been so much doom and gloom and the press don’t help.So here’s to a better year for everyone fingers crossed.
Thanks for all your support and patience in December and January… didn’t think moving house would be quite as stressful as it was…and although we still aren’t quite sorted things are looking better, at least my cats are happy.
Well we have been busy with more designs…more stamps….more Scene -Scapes…. I have created a fab new range of colourful scene -Scapes, a little different than the ones brought out last year …. these have been especially designed to fit different envelope sizes as suggested by you guys….so please take a peek http://laviniastamps.com/products-page/scenescapes/.Already they have been flying out.
For those of you who don’t know about the Scene-Scapes they are printed Brayer backgrounds on good quality card…. its to give people a head start….maybe help if you are struggling to use the Brayer, or i just tend to use them if i need to make a speedy birthday card. What’s better is that this type of card allows you to add more colour if you want to change it a little…. pop another mountain or hill in… distress the edges of your card…. its limitless what you can do.Then of course once your happy with the final background ….just stamp away….easy !!
