IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
I am sending this announcement out just confirming to all my customers that i have not designed for Katy Sue designs…..( Flower Soft)
The printed backgrounds are not mine , the silhouette Fairy stickers are not mine and the fairy silhouette stamps are not mine… although, as pointed out by many of you…. look remarkably like mine!!! ( Lavinia Stamps )
I have received a mass of emails which have flooded in during the last few days regarding these products, airing how you all feel…it is clear to me that people are not happy… (to put it politely)….with what Katy Sue has done.
I understand all your concerns and appreciate all your letters ..emails posts, phone calls etc. I thank you for your loyalty. I am truly overwhelmed by all your support….
Blessings
Tracey
and now onto much nicer things……
Hello
Well Spring is just around the corner ….finally !! although we can’t complain can we?…we have had an incredibly mild winter.Although i have missed having a little snow this year.
Well lets hope the economy has picked up this year and things start moving in the right direction, there has been so much doom and gloom and the press don’t help.So here’s to a better year for everyone fingers crossed.
Thanks for all your support and patience in December and January… didn’t think moving house would be quite as stressful as it was…and although we still aren’t quite sorted things are looking better, at least my cats are happy.
Well we have been busy with more designs…more stamps….more Scene -Scapes…. I have created a fab new range of colourful scene -Scapes, a little different than the ones brought out last year …. these have been especially designed to fit different envelope sizes as suggested by you guys….so please take a peek http://laviniastamps.com/products-page/scenescapes/.Already they have been flying out.
For those of you who don’t know about the Scene-Scapes they are printed Brayer backgrounds on good quality card…. its to give people a head start….maybe help if you are struggling to use the Brayer, or i just tend to use them if i need to make a speedy birthday card. What’s better is that this type of card allows you to add more colour if you want to change it a little…. pop another mountain or hill in… distress the edges of your card…. its limitless what you can do.Then of course once your happy with the final background ….just stamp away….easy !!
Our new stamps are a must have….
They go so well with our Scene-Scapes….i hope you agree…..http://laviniastamps.com/products-page/accessories/new-products-2012/
This one in particular was a complete sell out at the Make it Show in Farnborough…along with quite a few others, but they are all pretty much back in stock again now.
Something new and exciting that Kev and i are doing is putting a face book page together…. so we can connect with you guys ….see all your lovely work..and we can keep you all informed as to new products…new promotions…it will be great….. looking forward to that… i will keep you all posted as to when that will be happening …so watch this space….!!
Well we have a busy month ahead …Kevs in Glasgow next week…then its onto Harrogate and then the biggie at the NEC….please take a look at our exhibition dates http://laviniastamps.com/wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-table/wp-table-admin.php&mode=edit&id=2 It will be great if you can pop along to see us…you can ask us any questions and learn so much from the demonstrations, so hopefully see you there…..
Buy for now and take care….xxx

Hi Tracey
Great to hear you are almost back on track after you house move, it is a real business, I have moved 6 times to date!! it can be quite stresssful, but we all get there in the end.
Love all the new goodies you have out for 2012, they all look great, like the new little flower stamp, I use the star one regularly, so this flower one will be a real addition to my stash. Joyce and I are going to a craft show at Leigh in Lancashire on Saturday, ‘Sincerely Yours’, really looking forwrd to starting off our craft show rounds this year, sorry you wont be at that show, but look forward to seeing you at Port Sunny in May. Until then take care, regards to Kev, and good luck in 2012. Luv Pat.
i’ve just been watching create and craft (Katy Sue Designs show) and if you haven’t been the artist on the CD or have designed some stamps for them they have completely ripped you off! the cd has your brayed back grounds with fairies that are so similar to yours. and their stamps are a sell out, its absolutley disgraceful after all the hard work you’ve put in
Here Here!! I Totally agree with Denise. I was appalled (to put it politely, I was spitting feathers!!) that anyone can have produced work claiming it to be their own when the wonderful Tracey Dutton has done all the hard work, SHAME ON THEM.
But Tracey is a STAR, and as her friend from Sweet Poppy told me, when I spoke to her on Saturday, Tracey has said she will rise above this, everyone loves her work, long may she continue with her wonderful designs XXX Luv Pat xx
Tracey
Just to add to my last comment, I spoke to Kim Sutton from B-C-E, on Saturday, and she said what a lovely person you were, and she too is appalled at what has happened with your designs, as a similiar thing happened to her.
So be assured Tracey, everyone is behind you on this. Keep that lovely smile going.XX Pat
Hi Pat,
Thanks for your email, its always good to here from you, hope you are keeping ok, i cant believe you have moved six times and survived it….lol. still surrounded by boxes…. just don’t seem to have time… we are working on our face book page at the moment…. i have someone helping me ( someone who knows what they are doing)…and she is going to teach me …. its going to be fab… looking at what she has done so far. something to look forward to any how. Looking forward to seeing you at Port Sunny, have a lovely day today.
Speak soon

Hi Denise,
Thank you for your email….to be honest i don’t think she has done herself any favours…. i didn’t realise the kind of following Lavinia Stamps had from loyal crafters like yourself….and for that …i thank you…..but judging by the amount of supportive emails i have had there are a lot of angry people out there…that are equally out raged by what she has done….. As corrupt as the world is today….i still believe there are a lot of honest genuine people out there….and all i can say …..” is what goes around comes around”.
My only concern is that people are buying these on thinking i am designing for them….

I fully endorse what has already been said. I viewed the programme this morning (6th March) and was truly disgusted at what I was seeing. I shall boycott all products from this company. If there is any other way we can voice our disapproval then let us know.
Anne
Yohoo Tracey …
I will go and have a look at the Flowersoft designs… I have not seen them yet. … If they are as you say, that is an awful thing to do to another designer!
Glad the Facebook page is coming along … Good news, somewhere we can share our work and good for your business.
I held a brayering workshop last night at my local village hall …. used all your stamps! Went down a treat.
Love to Kev ….See you at Ally Pally
Eileen xx
Good to hear from you Eileen…. really excited about the face book page…its looking really good.
Glad the work shop went well for you….but then you are very talented.
Look forward to seeing you at Ally Pally

It was great to see your work at the show at Bluewater back in Feb. I have only seen it in The Craft stamper and then on your website, once I found it.
I do hope to see you back at Bluewater in September. Its so good to have shows near to home for a change.
Hello Tracey, thanks for the new news! Because I don’t like CD-Rom crafting I didn’t take any notice of the Katy-Sue one on C&C, but I’ve just had a look & I’m astonished. I cannot see anything that is different to your work. Flowersoft are being incredibly stupid & C&C must bear some responsibility too – I find it impossible to believe that no one recognised that these images are identical to your designs. I hope you are going to take this further.
I was delighted to learn from Lisa Baker, whose monthly class I attend in Maidstone, Kent, that we will be using your stamps, etc., in our next two classes – time for me to dig out my brayer!
I also hope to see you at Bluewater in September, it’s great not having to travel into London, or beyond, for a crafting fix.
Hi Trace,
I think you are amazing, how you have coped with the stress of it all.
You are a wonderful artist with such an amazing talent and flare for design.
Keep your head up and carry on doing what you are good at.
People only rip off other people when they lack the imagination themselves and I think that says it all!!!
Looking forward to seeing you at Harrogate and we will have a catch up.
Love to you and Kev,
Hugs Lisa.B.X
Hi Lisa, always good to hear from you, thank you for all your support and such kind words, looking forward to seeing you in Harrogate…. always like this show… in a lovely part of the country…shame there isn’t more time to experience the fab shops….where there’s a will there’s a way !!!!….. just have to set the stand up extra quick on this occasion…lol

Much love

Only now got round to adding my comments.
Hope you are not getting too stressed out at what is a blatant copy of your work. I belong to the Craft Telly forum and people had mentioned the similarity on there. Keep up the good work folks.
I’ve not been buying any stamps for a while but noticed more than one “must have” last time I browsed.
Thanks for your support Judith, Customers have been so supportive….it appears Katy Sue has been receiving quite a few emails as to how she could do this to another design company.
Thanks again Judith.
Take care
Tracey
Tracey your designs are far superior to Katy Sue and no-way would I ever buy these out of principle. Keep on producing top quality products for us all. I ordered lots from you and my son bought me more for Christmas and I am going to add to my stock over the next couple of months. You have the support from loyal crafters.
Sue x
Hi Sue,
Thats so kind of you , thank you for all your support , it goes a long way. I will keep designing and try to keep one step ahead… its where my passion lies, i feel fortunate to be producing something i love doing.
Take care

Hi there,
I was watching C & C the other day and was absolutely astounded to see Katy Sue pass off stamps and rub-ons and her latest “invention”, pads of ready scenes, as her brain child. Tracey, this is plagiarism and surely, is against the law. You may also have a case against C & C too, for they have enough of their people directly involved in the craft world to know who Lavinia Stamps are. There must be something you can do regarding the copyright of, at least, your “scenes”. How disgusting is this! So much for the saying, crafters are such lovely people – “tosh”. Your faithful customers are going to remain loyal, but new crafters aren’t going to know. You really should get your butt into gear and do something Tracey. I am another one of your customers who won’t desert you, so I’ll say good luck whatever you decide. Maureen from Preston
Hi Maureen,
Thank you for all your concerns and support over Katy Sue. i too was very shocked when i found out what they had done. i have been told i do have a case against them if i so wish…..alot of time …money and stress i feel. i am a great believer in what goes around comes around,i think they have already shot themselves in the foot as a lot of people have recognised what they have done and are deeply appalled .
I have also sent in a number of repeated emails to Leonie and management at C and C… i have sent them links to my work and Katy Sues….. and have heard nothing…!!….So absolutely no support there!!…… not even any acknowledgement!!!
A lot of regular customers have also sent letters in to create and craft and posted their anger up on Craft talk forums
Its been quite amazing as to how supportive people have been, but like i say what goes around comes around
Thanks again for all your loyalty it means a great deal.
Kind Regards
Tracey
Hello again Tracey,
one final thought and it may be a bit frightening, I’m sad to say. If you don’t do anything and are seen not to be doing anything, it might happen, that they are confident enough to take legal action against you and accuse you of using their designs. Can you imagine what that could do to you? Please, at the very least, take some legal advice.
(We, your supporters, could always start a “SUPPORT TRACEY” fund!!!!!!!!!! what do you think?) Maybe, all your supporters could e-mail the said SHOPPING CHANNEL and threaten to stop ordering unless they cut said PERSON from their schedule. Good idea, yes? In fact, that’s my next job.
I can understand what you are thinking, we are talking about our lovely hobby, for goodness sake! Just remember too, we are talking about money and where money is concerned, you will always find greed and that leads to all sorts of things.
Please give it serious consideration.
Again, good luck and take care,
Love, Maureen
Hello Maureen,
Not to worry … by law i have instant copyright on my designs the minute i put pen to paper. These are then scanned in and dated, so this isn’t a problem.Thank you
However by all means feel free to contact C and C or Flower Soft i believe quite a few people have aired their concerns. Everyone’s support is over whelming.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Tracey
