May project (19)I have a new gelli plate, which measures a very cute 3 x 5 inches.

This means that you can create an image on your gelli plate and use this as a stamp directly on your card.

I used the new, stunning flower border stamp alongside the beautiful zen butterfly.

Supplies used:

How to do it…

Brayer sunshine yellow ink onto the left hand side of the gelli plate.

Brayer meadow ink onto the right hand side of the gelli plate.

Place the un-inked flower border stamp on the inked gelli plate

... to lift off some of the colour.

Ink up the flower border stamp with meadow ink and stamp onto the gelli plate. The ink stays wet on the gelli plate long enough to complete all these steps without rushing.

Lay the inked gelli plate face down on the card and press gently all over.

I got a different effect each time I did this but was still surprised how this one came out!

I brayered the gelli plate again with sunshine yellow and meadow ink in the same way as steps 1 and 2 and printed with it over the top of the first image.

This card is quick to make, and each time you make one it'll turn out slightly different!

This technique also works well on a tag with some Zen Alliums ;)
